I would very seriously suggest going and reading ... the original post is cute and funny ... Definitely worth a read... However, the real meat of the matter comes later... in the comments...
So lets do this... you folks go read there and then (if you feel like it) come on back here and lets have a discussion about some of the issues the responses bring up...

The issues here can be broken down into several categories... the first could are the ones I posted I the comments section of the other blog...
1) If I misunderstood evolution the same way creationists misunderstand it, I would not "believe" it either.
In five years, I have not had ANY creationist come to me with an argument against evolution that I have not been able to say to myself (or others) "I see where they might ask that question, but it is based on something they are misunderstanding."
Or are choosing to be willfully ignorant about. Iin the same five years, I can count on one finger the number of creationists who actually WENT to www.talkorigins.com and READ what was there... and while that person still believes that their god started the whole mess, they now feel that evolution got us from there to here.
I think it comes down to the whole concept that is the basis of Christianity... "Do not try to figure things out on your own, it is MUCH better if you just sit back and leave the thinking to us."
The difference is that people like (*gasp*) ME would prefer to educate ourselves on things and just do not understand these people who want the Cliffs notes and never to be bothered with verifying the information....
#2) Evolution is a fact... it happens...
The "Theory" is the HOW part of "how" evolution ocures...
I guess that is enough for now... lets see who comes to play...

Obviously, you are welcome to your opinion... of course it would have more respectability if you just admitted to who you are... or if you specified which of my 'stereotype's' and 'half truths' you are referring to...
Without that, you are simply another person who like to take pot-shots from the cheap seats...

I think it even goes farther than that. Remember that the battle has been characterized by the ID folk as the Evil Scientists versus the Good Christians. And in xianity, the format is one of a battle between two sides. Thus, if one is a xian, one can only defend their side by opposing whatever the Evil Scientists provide, whether one takes a look at it or not. It isn't about learning something, it is about defense and that's it.
I have to agree with Robis that it goes beyond ingnorance into WILLFULL ignorance... and that is what causes me the most frustration... someone lacking education does not loose my respect... but someone who CHOOSES not to gain education when they realize there is more to the story does...

And if you still can't figure out who posted this of who onepostban was then you're about as much a scientist as I am Britney Spears.
Sure you had a choice... you could have chosen not to insert yourself AGAIN in a place you know absolutely your attitude will make you unwelcome. But that would have taken integrety.
As to YOUR scandelous lies, I have absolutely no need to defend myself from you... you are irrelevant and I find it really amusing that you think it is relevant to me who you are or what you think about my ability to perform my profession.
